The Expert Guru - Beware

Woe is me, have I exposed a taboo “no-no”? Do I dare speak the truth about Internet Marketing? Is every word that comes out of the mouths of experts, true?

My answer to these three questions is yes, yes, and no. I know there are more and more beginners to the internet every day. Many are just surfers and gamers and etc.But the ones I want to address are the ones that come to the internet to seek the possibility of creating income by the way of online internet marketing.

Are you looking for a way to have your own Home Based Business? Well it is possible on the web and without the need of a vein that connects your billfold to Fort Knox. But if you get carried away at the “Hype” on the web today it can seem to be a very expensive venture.

Now don’t get nervous and scared, despite the monsters out there that are ready to hype you to death and take your money. If you’ll be careful and cautious with your budget you can make it as a successful Marketer.

Now in my opinion, the first five steps to creating your online business. The First step: Your niche or idea. Do you currently have a hobby or a passion for a certain topic? Over the course of starting and completing your business startup, you will run into roadblocks, peaks and valleys. You need to have patience and determination and not having passion for your niche will help you to get bored and frustrated causing you to give up.

Second Step: Web Site is necessary unless you want to be an Affiliate Marketer. Even then, it is an enhancement to have a landing page. You have control over that page and control means a lot. You do so much more with a web site. You can have several streams of income off of one website. I suggest spending some time and learn Html language (basic).I took a course on web design ($60) and learned basic html at a local college. Even if you buy templates you need to know html to modify the templates.

Third step: Domain Name. Picking any name will go against you down the line. Pick a name that has words that you can use for keywords. This will help you in search engine optimization. This area you want to spend a lot of time learning SEO. This is free traffic and getting your website on the first page of a search is where you want to be. I have used Registor.com and 1 & 1.com.Also namecheap.com is an affordable solution.

Fourth step: Hosting is a service where you store your data from your website on the hosts server. Then you can go live with your finished Product. If you have only one website, you can buy pretty cheap packages from hosting companies. My first website was hosted by HostExcellance.com(~$4/month).If you have multiple sites, Hostgator.com has a package($9.95/month).What’s neat about this is that you can host unlimited number of sites for just $9.95/month.I have accounts with both hosting companies and their service and uptime has been superb.

Finally the fifth and last step: Money! Now you might be thinking money should be the first step, and you would be right. Because that I itemized the cost of each step I wanted to discuss money last. If I pay $9(annual) for a domain name, $48(annual) for hosting,$60 for web Design course(design my own website).I have less than $10/month in this business startup.

Now I have got my website online for less than $125 total cost. That’s not bad for my on business. You would spend more than that on business license on an offline business. Now there are more costs which I will discuss in another article, but you’re off and running. Good luck and always remember, “If you want to succeed then you will”.
